‘Joint’ is a found-object assemblage project that works with various day-to-day products to create meaningful compositions that convey an emotional message while having unique visual aesthetics. Objects chosen for compositions are analyzed with their physical attributes like object type, usage, shape, size, color, weight, etc. as well as their metaphorical attributes; for example, a pencil isn’t just a tool to write something on a piece of paper but it can also be a symbol for the start of a young author’s journey. While creating any composition, I’ve carefully thought about the physical and metaphorical aspects of all objects so that there are multiple connections among these objects. These different objects when coming together in a composition, create a unique meaning and also allow the viewer to create opinions of their own.
